City of London Historic Pub Tour

حول هذا النشاط

Step into two thousand years of history on this guided walking tour through the City of London — the ancient square mile that has been continuously occupied since the Romans founded Londinium in 43 AD. Along the way, you'll stop at five of the capital's most storied pubs, each one a piece of history in its own right, where the stories of the streets continue behind oak-panelled walls, over a pint. This isn't a pub crawl. And it isn't a dry history lecture. It's the best of both — a walk through narrow medieval lanes, Roman ruins, and Great Fire survivors, punctuated by pints in establishments that have been pouring ale since before some countries existed. You'll visit five historic pubs, each chosen for their remarkable stories as much as their beer. Between them, you'll walk cobbled lanes, pass Roman remains, admire the legacy of Sir Christopher Wren, and stand on ground that has seen fire, plague, war, and financial empire rise and fall — and through it all, the pubs have remained.
