   Unparalleled in Italy, this gallery houses an intriguing array of artwork and other objects that depict the art and heritage of the Venetians. Collections of navigation tools, costumes and other objects are testimony to the dominance that the Venetians exerted over the seas. The museum houses historical memorabilia demonstrating he richness of Venice society over the last 500 years. Of particular interest are the landscape rooms with marvellous paintings of old views of the city, reproduced many times over by collectors from around the world. Finally on this visit you arrive at the part of the museum dedicated to the ancient rulers of Venice, the Doges. Then on to the apartments of the Empress Sissi, the neoclassic halls with sculptures by Antonio Canova and the Pinacoteca the galley that houses artworks by famous master like Bellini, Lotto, Carpaccio, Cosmè Tura, Antonello da Messina and many others.
