   Your tour begins at 6:00 PM at the Historic Tunnel station in Karaköy, where you’ll meet your guide and hear a short introduction about Istanbul and the route ahead. Then, take a ride on the world’s second-oldest metro to reach the lively Pera district.

   Wandering through its narrow streets, your first stop is for a durum kebab served with a refreshing Turkish soda. Your guide will share the story behind this beloved local dish. Next, you’ll taste kokoreç, stuffed mussels, fried mussels, and enjoy a glass of traditional Salgam (fermented turnip juice).

   As you walk along Istiklal Street, you will hear stories about historical landmarks such as the Cicek Pasaji and Mısır Apartment.

   Then, enjoy a serving of tantuni with ayran, a classic Turkish street combo.

   The next stop is a traditional pickle shop, where you will try mixed pickle juice (spicy if you wish!) Finally, return to Karaköy to taste a spicy fish wrap, then finish your evening with a sweet note: baklava and authentic Turkish coffee.
