   Changing of the Guard

   Arrive at the Buckingham Palace gates, where your guide shares final stories about the monarchy before verifying your entrance tickets and providing an audio guide for self-guided exploration. Then, enter Buckingham Palace independently to see the State Rooms, including the Grand Staircase, Ballroom, and Throne Room. The guided portion of the tour ends at the entrance. You may remain exploring inside the palace until you are ready to leave.⁠

Please arrive 10 minutes early. Your guide will meet you in front of the William III statue in St. James Square holding a ''The Tour Guy'' sign. When St. James Square is closed, please meet us at the SW Gate of the Square across from Kings Street.

• Unfortunately this tour is not wheelchair or mobility accessible. Photography is not allowed inside the State Rooms of Buckingham Palace, which is where most of your tour occurs. Due to palace restrictions, no tour guides are allowed to accompany groups into the palace. After your comprehensive guided walking tour of St. James Park and the Mall, your guide will lead you to the correct entrance, verify your tickets, and provide you with your audio guides for your self-guided tour. There is a security check before entering Buckingham Palace. You'll need to store any strollers or large bags at the check-in before entering security. We recommend leaving them at your accommodation. Smaller bags and purses are allowed. Water bottles are allowed, but food and drink cannot be consumed inside the palace. This tour has a timed entry at mid-morning, which means you'll be inside the palace during the Changing of the Guard ceremony. Please note that due to timed entry tickets, customers that arrive late at the meeting point cannot be accommodated nor rescheduled. Therefore we always recommend arriving 10-15 minutes prior to the start time.
