Two pints, please, governor. This is not simply a pub crawl; it is a spirited journey through the historic heart of the City of London, led by your own local guide who knows these streets, and these bars, like an old regular. You may find yourself raising a glass inside Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese, rebuilt after the Great Fire of 1666 and long associated with literary figures, or stepping into the galleried courtyard of The George Inn, London’s last surviving coaching inn. A stop at The Cockpit offers something altogether more unusual. Along the way, your guide will decode the great British pub tradition: the difference between ale and lager, the art of a proper pint, the history of porters and stouts, and why certain pubs became haunts of journalists, actors, revolutionaries, and rogues. You will hear the scandals, the literary gossip, the political plotting, and the odd ghost story, all delivered with warmth, humour, and just the right amount of local irreverence.

Together, you will weave through winding alleys and cobbled courts to discover the capital’s most atmospheric and storied drinking establishments, each with its own character, clientele, and centuries of tales soaked into the timbered walls.
