   Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen

It is home to one of the largest collections of paintings in the world, including works by Rembrandt, Rubens, and Vermeer. The museum was founded in 1849 by a Dutch painter and art collector named Willem Jacob Frederik Boijmans. In 1877, it moved to its current location on Museumplein in Rotterdam. The museum’s collection includes more than 1,200 paintings from the Dutch Golden Age and 5,000 drawings from all periods. Boijmans-van Beuningen is famous for having a large collection of art from Piet Mondriaan and Vincent van Gogh.

The new church was designed by Pierre Cuypers who also designed the Rijksmuseum and the Amsterdam Central Station.
