The grand centrepiece is Bernini's 'Fountain of the Four Rivers' which can be identified by the Egyptian Obelisk standing atop. This square is an outdoor museum which will leave you in awe.

Just south of Piazza Navona
Just south of Piazza Navona is another beautiful square, Campo de' Fiori, which was once literally a field of flowers until it was paved in 1456. Today it is a vibrant market during the day where you can find fruit, vegetables and flowers. The square was known for its public executions and to commemorate the Italian philosopher Giordano Bruno who was burnt to the stake here in 1600, there's a large statue in his honor.
