South Moravia is the most important wine region in Czeh Republic. Miukulov is one of its charming historical cities located 2,5-hour drive from Prague. The region includes 96% of the country’s vineyards. Wine growing in this region has been reliably traced back to the Roman Empire period – the 2nd century AD. Ideally situated north of the Alps and at the Western edge of the Carpathian Mountains, the region benefits from a cooler climate, which excels at white wine production. Quality can be outstanding, especially the Moravian whites. Mikulov has certainly the highest concentration of wine cellars for tastings, as well as a fairytale chateau on a hill overlooking the town. Like a guardian, the Pálava Hills, declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, seem to be carefully watching the vines.

We will enjoy welcome drink on the roof top terrace of this winery and then wine tasting of their fabulous wines in its brand-new winery building. - Our second winery visit includes the cellar tour and wine tasting, including well rated wine especially when it comes to reds.

Back in time to the days of our great-grandmothers. - 2nd winery belongs to the Czech Republic’s best wineries and is particularly known as key producer of Rieslings and the local grape variety Pálava. Wine tasting will take place on a terrace overlooking the beautiful vineyards and Pálava hill, followed by a private visit to the inside of the winery and its production hall. - 3rd winery visit is at nearby winery, reputed not only for its excellent wines, but also for its stunning modern architecture, located in the middle of its vineyards. You can enjoy the wine tasting on their terrace with the great view at Palava hill again. - Rest at your hotel. -
