It covers key points in her life: what happened to her family and why they left Germany, how they came to live in Holland and how the Nazis discovered them. 1. This tour will take you beyond what most people know about Anne Frank, into the life she led before her time in hiding, and discuss how she has been used as an icon over the years. 2. We will take you back to the places important to Anne Frank in her childhood. We will show you where she went to school and the bookshop where she bought her famous diary. 3. We will cover the south of Amsterdam, where you will have the opportunity to become acquainted with an area of the city that you would otherwise not see as a tourist. This area was constructed in the 1920-30ties and was based on revolutionary ideas of city planning, architecture, and social housing.
