   Borghese Gallery

   Explore the world-renowned art collection at the Galleria Borghese in Rome. Housed in an ancient Villa of the homonymous family, the Galleria Borghese houses a large part of the vast collection of antiquities, paintings and sculptures of the family. Its 22 rooms spread over two floors have many important pieces including paintings by Titian, Raphael, Caravaggio and Rubens. Walking inside the Borghese Gallery is a unique once-in-a-lifetime experience of the world's most universal artists, including 9 of Bernini's most famous masterpieces - 5 of which can not be moved: the Aeneas and Anchises, the Apollo, the Apollo and Daphne and the Rape of Proserpine, where the hands of the God are touching Proserpina's skin actually appear as if they are sinking into her flesh.
