After booking, the tour starts at the rental point with e-bike collection and activation of the virtual navigation. This loop itinerary is about 21 km long with 336 m of elevation gain: medium-easy level. It starts from Le Sieci and crosses the Chianti Rufina hills, alternating paved roads, quiet secondary roads, short trails and a section of cycle path. The surface is smooth, with steady climbs and only a few gravel sections. The route climbs through vineyards, olive groves and farmhouses to Villa Bossi Gondi, where a tasting with light lunch can be added by reservation. It then continues towards Fattoria di Lavacchio, ideal for a break at the bar or by the distinctive restored windmill. After a short steeper section, the track descends towards Pontassieve and reaches the Ponte Mediceo. The return follows quiet roads and views over Valdisieve back to Le Sieci. Water, a charged phone and some confidence on gravel are recommended.

    2. Monterifrassine, immersa nelle colline di Pontassieve tra vigneti e oliveti, conserva il fascino autentico della campagna toscana. Il luogo è noto soprattutto per il caratteristico mulino a vento, costruito nella prima metà dell’Ottocento su un crinale panoramico. Restaurato e rimesso in funzione nel 2000, rappresenta una rara testimonianza dell’antica tradizione agricola locale.

    3. Il bar della Fattoria Lavacchio, immerso sulle colline del Chianti Rufina sopra Pontassieve, è una piacevole sosta tra vigneti e oliveti. Fa parte di una tenuta agricola attiva dal 1978, oggi dedicata alla produzione biologica e all’accoglienza. Qui è possibile rilassarsi gustando vini dell’azienda, bevande e prodotti locali, in un ambiente rurale autentico con splendidi panorami sulla campagna toscana.

    4. Il Ponte Mediceo di Pontassieve attraversa il fiume Sieve e collega il centro storico con San Francesco di Pelago. Fu commissionato nel 1555 da Cosimo I de’ Medici, dopo che una piena aveva distrutto il ponte precedente, e venne probabilmente realizzato su progetto di Bartolomeo Ammannati. Con le sue grandi arcate in mattoni, è uno dei simboli storici della Valdisieve e un antico collegamento verso il Mugello.

    5. Sieci è una vivace frazione di Pontassieve, sviluppata lungo l’Arno e l’antica via Aretina. Il nucleo storico era conosciuto come Remole e conserva la Pieve di San Giovanni Battista, documentata fin dal 935 e ricostruita in forme romaniche. Il paese crebbe soprattutto nell’Ottocento con l’arrivo della ferrovia, diventando un importante collegamento tra Firenze e la Valdisieve.
