Visiting Kutna Hora is like traveling a few hundred years back in time. The fame and glory of this town, now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, began in 1142 end grew mostly thanks to silver mining. It's mining heritage is present everywhere in Kutná Hora, including the most significant symbol and the pride of the town’s miner being the Gothic jewel of St. Barbara’s Church. While I the bone chapel impresses me every time, my favorite stop of this trip is the nearby Cathedral of Assumption of Our Lady, designed by a famous architect Jan Blažej Santini.
