The hotel's layout blends contemporary design and construction techniques with Islamic architectural principles like hierarchy, balance, geometry, proportion, and proportionality. 114 smaller domes are dispersed around the structure, while the centre dome is decorated with intricate geometric patterns. The various tones of sand that may be seen in the Arabian Desert served as inspiration for the building's colour.
