Your journey begins with your arrival in the UNESCO World Heritage city of Évora. Explore the cobblestone streets, ancient Roman Temple and Chapel of Bones before taking off on day 2 to explore the beautiful villages and countryside of the Alentejo.

Évora to Arraiolos

The ride starts as you make your way to the Ecopista do Ramal de Mora, a beautiful biking and walking trail that will take you all the way to Arraiolos. On this trail you will wind through farms, vineyards and small villages, giving you a glimpse into the traditional Alentejo way of life. You will even pass several abandoned train stations, as the Ecopista used to be a train route that has since been covered by this trail.

Arraiolos to Estremoz

Journey from Arraiolos to Estremoz. Most of this ride is on a smooth paved road, ending with a slight climb up the cobblestone streets into the walled city of Estremoz.
This is also one of the most scenic days as you will spend beautiful views and plenty of goats and cork trees. We recommend stopping along the way at a cafe to enjoy a snack or beverage. Also stop at a winery for a tour and tasting. End the evening unwinding in the town of Estremoz, where you will come across ancient castles, beautiful fountains and spectacular old churches.

Estremoz to Redondo

Today's journey is short but beautiful, and will allow your group to enjoy spending time at your hotel enjoying the views. Wind through the Serra d'Ossa mountains, passing through forests of cork trees and expansive vineyards and farmlands. There are plenty of opportunities today for off-route excursions, discovering hidden gems throughout the mountain range.
Though it's a challenging climb, the view from the mountains is simply incredible.

Redondo to Monsaraz

Today’s ride will take you through stunning landscapes and numerous Alentejo vineyards and cork forests.
Your ride will take you to the hill which Monsaraz castle sits upon, dating back to the 12th century.

Loop Ride to Reguengos de Monsaraz (optional rest day)

Enjoy today's loop ride from the stunning Monsaraz to the town of Reguengos. You will return to the same hotel after this ride, so today is the perfect day for anyone in your party who wants to rest and enjoy some time exploring Monsaraz or heading over to the beach.

Monsaraz to Évora

Your final day of biking will be the easiest day. You will primary be riding on the Ecopista de Reguengos, a spectacular trail which opened in the Fall of 2024 to connect the town of Reguengos de Monsaraz to Évora. A leisurely cycle on the flat gravel path will take you through traditional villages and beautiful nature that you won't see from a car. Once you arrive in Évora, we will collect your bicycles and you can enjoy another evening in this famous city.
