   The Gothic church is well known for the beautiful torsed columns made in breccia (a stone from the Serra da Arrábida) that support the vaults. The Setúbal Museum operates in the Convent, with several collections.

   Cabo Espichel

   Here is located the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora do Cabo Espichel, or Nossa Senhora da Pedra Mua. The cult appeared in 1410, when the image of Nossa Senhora do Cabo was discovered from Cabo Espichel. The church was built between 1701 and 1707, and due to the large number of people, the inns were built. Close to the Sanctuary, the 15th century Hermitage of Memory is located in the place where the apparition took place. Inside the chapel, you can see the 18th century tile panels, alluding to the legend of Senhora do Cabo.
