   Enter the Colosseum through the Gladiator’s Gate, the same entrance used by fighters almost 2,000 years ago. From here, you step directly onto the arena floor, the central stage where the games once took place. Standing here, facing the towering stands, you can imagine the roar of the ancient crowds. It’s a privileged viewpoint not open to all visitors.

   Palatine Hill

   The tour continues to the Palatine Hill, the legendary birthplace of Rome, where Romulus is said to have founded the city. Here you’ll see remains spanning from the Iron Age to the Renaissance. Highlights include: Hut of Romulus, a trace of early Rome. Imperial Palace, the monumental complex where emperors lived and ruled. From the Palatine Hill you’ll also enjoy some of the best panoramic views of Rome, overlooking both the Colosseum and the Roman Forum.

   Roman Forum

   The final stop is the Roman Forum, once the beating heart of ancient Rome – a hub of politics, religion, law, and trade. Here you will discover: The spot where Julius Caesar was cremated. The path of victorious Triumphs celebrating Rome’s conquests. The ruins of temples and basilicas where trials, business, and ceremonies took place. Dramatic episodes, such as the murder of two emperors in 69 AD. The places where Cicero delivered his famous speeches that shaped Western culture. After the guided visit, you’re free to stay and explore the Roman Forum at your own pace, immersing yourself in history.

How to get there: Take Metro Line B to Colosseo station—exit and you’re right by the Colosseum, a 2-minute walk to the Arch. Buses 51, 75, 81, 85, 87, 118 also stop at Colosseo/Celio Vibenna.
