   Villa Torlonia

   This very unique Villa can be found along the outskirts of central Rome. First established in the 1800s, it was once home to a famous banker who, in 1920 rented the location to Benito Mussolini for only the equivalent of €0.16 per year and was used as the State Residence throughout the Second World War.

It’s a true gem of Art Noveau where decorations and art melt perfectly in a dreamy atmosphere. Named after the many owls created with colorful stained glass windows, it is a true encyclopedia of arts and crafts masterpieces and recalls the last time in the modern era when beauty was at one’s fingertips in everyday life.
