   The breathtaking Villa d’Este, built in the 16th century during the Renaissance, is a masterpiece of the Italian garden and one of the most enchanting landscapes in Tivoli. Its extraordinary terraces unfold through fountains, grottoes, nymphaea, water features, and hydraulic music that create a timeless atmosphere of beauty and wonder. Surrounded by ravines, caves, and cascading waters, the setting evokes the splendor of the legendary Hanging Gardens of Babylon, while the sophisticated water system—fed by an aqueduct and underground tunnel—reflects the remarkable engineering legacy of ancient Rome.
