   Catacombs of Rome

   Following a short transfer, you'll arrive at the Catacombs just in time for your exclusive after-hours tour. Your guide unlocks the ancient gates and leads you into tunnels carved from soft stone. Explore several sections and see early biblical frescoes, including what many believe is the earliest depiction of the Nativity. Depending on the date, the visit takes place at either the Catacombs of Priscilla or the Catacombs of San Sebastiano

Please arrive 10 minutes early. Your guide will meet you in Piazza Barberini - in front of the Fontana del Tritone. A representative will be there holding a sign with ''The Tour Guy'' on it.

• We regret that we are unable to accommodate guests with wheelchairs or any walking impairments that require special assistance on our group tours. We are also unable to accommodate strollers or baby carriages.
• Due to traffic regulations, all children must be seated. Car seats are available upon request which must be made at least 72 hours in advance.
• The catacombs are a sacred site, so please cover your knees and shoulders. A shawl, scarf, or sweater works well.
• The Catacombs of Priscilla are normally visited. During closures, the visit may take place at the Catacombs of San Sebastiano instead.

• • Please read our meeting point directions thoroughly in advance. It is the responsibility of all visitors to be at the meeting point 10 - 15 minutes before departure. Guests arriving after departure cannot be accommodated, & missed tours or tickets cannot be refunded. • Mandatory: Everyone is required to carry a copy of the identification page of their passports on all tours. A photo of the first page of your passport saved on your smartphone works as well. • We regret that we are unable to accommodate guests with wheelchairs or any walking impairments that require special assistance on our group tours. We are also unable to accommodate strollers or baby carriages. • We will be subject to a security check at the entrance to all sites. Depending on the volume of visitors, we may have a short wait in the security line. • DRESS CODE: Entrance into any religious site requires a strict dress code. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. The company will not be held responsible for refused entry due to unsuitable dress. • Please note that the catacombs are located underground and there is a difference in temperature, so we recommend to bring something along to cover yourself. • TTG reserves the right to alter itineraries for reasons of safety, restoration, maintenance, adverse weather conditions or occasional events. • TTG runs tours rain or shine and no refunds will be issued due to inclement weather. In extreme weather conditions (i.e., flooding, hail storms, lightning storms, etc.) some areas may close down for safety purposes. • We will do everything within our power to ensure timings and itineraries are respected, however, due to issues beyond our control, timings and sites are subject to last minute changes on rare occasions. • Due to the religious origin of the sites visited, photography is not allowed.
