The Baths of Caracalla are some of the best-preserved and largest baths in Rome, a masterpiece of Roman architecture that could accommodate up to 1500 people. The spas, which were free and open to the public, including a series of baths, a library, a gym and gardens. Your guide will help you imagine exactly what they looked like in antiquity when they were built. All the imposing rooms were vaulted or arcaded, decorated with sumptuous stuccos, frescoes, polychrome mosaics, statues and columns of very precious marble.
