This is because the hill on which it is located, is a volcanic hill and probably one day in very far future it will fall down. This splendid hill town will be the highlight of your visit to Italy! To enter this amazing town, you will need to cross a footbridge, as cars cannot make it across the bridge, it is long but stunning to traverse.
