The Imperial Forums were part of the complex of the Roman Forum, separated from it in modern times in the moment of the urban reorganization of the area. The Museum shows us all the findings of the area of the Imperial Forum, giving us the opportunity to discuss and learn about the history of Rome, the history of the area, its function and how it developed during the centuries after the end of the Roman Empire. When we talk about the ancient city of Rome we think that the archeological site is composed only by the Colosseum, Palatine hill and Roman forum. In reality, there is more! The Imperial Forums were part of the complex of buildings of the ancient city, the central area of Rome. In the XX century the area was completely reorganized divinding the famous Roman Forum from the Imperial Forum. Well, we will discover this unknown part during this tour. The Museum shows us all the findings of the area of the Imperial Forum, giving us the opportunity to discuss and learn about this other area, its function and how it developed during the centuries.
