   however, access to the dome is optional and not part of the guided tour. Guests may choose to visit the dome on their own after the tour concludes. At the end of the tour, you'll be brought directly to St. Peter’s Basilica, entering through a special access point from the Sistine Chapel—skipping the long lines outside in St. Peter’s Square.
