   St. Mark's Basilica

   The construction of the Basilica of St. Mark

   The construction of the Basilica of St. Mark was completed in 1092, and is an important example of Italo-Byzantine and Gothic architecture. It is known as the “Church of Gold” for its golden decorations and ornaments, especially mosaics, that adorn the facade. For its Byzantine elements it gives the Basilica an Oriental feeling, blended with an Italian touch

   Doge's Palace

   The Doge’s Palace

   The Doge’s Palace was initially built in the 800s but then destroyed due to a fire. It was then rebuilt in the 1340s and remains as it was to this day. It is of Gothic architecture and is considered one of Venice’s main landmarks. It was built as the residence of the Doge, the supreme authority of the former Venetian Republic, and today is the site of a museum, including the hidden treasures and passageways of the Doge.

   Campo Santa Maria Formosa

   Campo Santa Maria Formosa is one of the largest Venice Camps and is famous for the beautiful church of Santa Maria Formosa.

   Ponte Rialto is one of the 4 main bridges of Venice. It is considered the symbol of Venice and the main attraction of tourists. It is a romantic location especially when the sun sets, because the lighting is perfect for the white marble of the bridge.
