    Chambord - Amboise - Clos Luce

    1. The building was constructed (1519–1547) by Francis I and is nowadays the biggest castle in the Valley. The castle is also known because of its open double-spiral staircase probably inspired by the Leonardo da Vinci's sketches.

      Chateau de Chenonceau is the most visited and photographed chateau of the Valley. It's often described as ‘the ladies castle’ as throughout its history it's them who have most influenced its design and destiny.
