Follow this route to immerse yourself in the world of the painter Pierre Auguste Renoir, who lived in this neighborhood for nearly 30 years and brought some of his most famous paintings to life there. The Butte Montmartre, attached to Paris in 1860, was a district that was still poorly urbanized in the second part of the 19th century, a district in which artists and workers mixed.
