   Doge's Palace

   The Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana is one of the oldest and most prestigious libraries in Italy. Located in St. Mark’s Square in Venice, it is housed in the splendid Renaissance building designed by Jacopo Sansovino in the 16th century.

   Founded thanks to the bequest of Cardinal Bessarione, it preserves precious Greek and Latin manuscripts, illuminated codices, ancient maps, and numerous rare books. It is considered an important center for the study of Venetian history and humanism. Its halls, decorated with works by artists such as Tiziano and Paolo Veronese, also make it a place of great artistic value.
