Imagine a small jazz club. The musicians are playing just a few metres away, you’re sitting at your table, perhaps having dinner or a glass of wine. Only instead of city streets outside the window, Prague is slowly drifting by. That’s more or less what an evening on the Jazz Boat feels like. Over the course of two and a half hours, you’ll hear three live jazz sets. In between, there’s time to talk, enjoy your food, or simply look out at the city and the river. You don’t need to know anything about jazz, and there’s nothing much to plan. Just come aboard, take your seat, and let the evening flow with the boat.
There’s no rush to the evening. The boat slowly cruises along the Vltava, the band plays three sets, and in between there’s time for dinner, a glass of wine or a conversation. Sometimes it’s the music that draws you in, sometimes the view from the window. And sometimes you simply sit back and enjoy not having to think about anything for a couple of hours. Every evening is a little different. Different musicians, different people, a different mood. And that’s exactly what we like about the Jazz Boat.
