Declared a Natural Park in 1987, Montserrat rises to over 1,200 metres. Its rounded rock towers were shaped from ancient river sediments over millions of years. Montserrat Mountain

Visit the basilica of the Benedictine monastery and see La Moreneta, the 12th-century Romanesque carving of the Virgin, patron saint of Catalonia.
