You're not booking a class in a rented room set up for tourists. You spend a couple of hours inside a real artist's studio, working alongside a ceramic artist in the same space where she designs and makes her own pieces, surrounded by her tools, wheels and finished work. The setting matters too. Monteverde is a residential Roman neighbourhood, not a tourist trail, so you get a slice of everyday Rome that most visitors never see.
