The façade of the building contains sculptural decorations by Czech sculptor Ladislav Šaloun, including figures connected to Prague’s history, such as Rabbi Judah Loew, the legendary rabbi associated with the story of the Golem.

   According to local legends connected with the court of Emperor Rudolf II, alchemy and mysticism were part of Prague’s intellectual life during the time of Rabbi Löw. The tour ends near the house traditionally associated with him, where the Museum of Alchemists is located today.
