The mythology of the Piazza della Signoria: guided tour for children Here is a Florence only for children! Piazza della Signoria is a large cultural amusement park, where the little ones have the opportunity to listen to the amazing mythological tales of our guide, admiring the gigantic works of art that proudly occupy the square. Children and teenagers: we advise you to suggest to your parents the idea of sipping an aperitif or a coffee, comfortably seated in an outdoor area in Piazza della Signoria and feel free to express yourself during our visit.
Piazza della Signoria, with all its sculptures. the Piazza della Signoria is the home of many festivals, such as the festival of the patron San Giovanni (celebrated by fireworks), the Giostra del Saracino, and many important weddings. Another special festival is Fiorita, which occurs every year on May 23 to commemorate the death of Savonarola.

With the magnificent Perseo di Cellini. The Loggia dei Lanzi, also called the Loggia della Signoria, is a building on a corner of the Piazza della Signoria in Florence, Italy, adjoining the Uffizi Gallery. It consists of wide arches open to the street. The arches rest on clustered pilasters with Corinthian capitals. Perseus with the Head of Medusa is a bronze sculpture made by Benvenuto Cellini in the period 1545–1554. The sculpture stands on a square base which has bronze relief panels depicting the story of Perseus and Andromeda, similar to a predella on an altarpiece.
