8 Days: Discover Istanbul, Cappadocia, Ephesus, P.kale by flights

Welcome to Turkey. Arrive in Istanbul Airport, Our representative will meet you at the airport with your name sign and private transfer to the hotel for overnight stay in Istanbul.

09.00 a.m. After breakfast, pick up from hotel and our journey begins in Istanbul. We visit the Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, The Blue Mosque and Hippodrome and the Grand Bazaar for shopping. Overnight in Istanbul.

Update for St. Sophia interior visit : Live guiding is not allowed in St. Sophia after the 15th January 2024. Guests have to have their smart phones and headphones during their visit. If guests do not have a headphone, they can buy at the entrance. The system is similar to audio guide system. Guests who does not have smart phones will follow the signs and the given informations on the signs .

08.30 a.m. After breakfast, pick up from hotel . First visit Spice Bazaar (Egyptian Bazaar): The air here is filled with the enticing aromas of cinnamon, caraway, saffron, mint, thyme and every other concievable herb and spice. Then Boat trip on the bosphorus : A traditional excursion by boat along the waterway seperating Europe and Asia. Afternoon visit Underground cistern. Overnight in Istanbul.

Take the morning flight from Istanbul to Cappadocia. Arrival and meeting at the airport just outside the arrival’s gate with a sign bearing your name and transfer to Cappadocia. You will visit Three Sisters Fairy Chimneys, Pigeons Valley and Kaymakli Underground City one of the largest and the deepest of 200 others in Cappadocia. After the tour, transfer to your hotel.

Hot Air ballooning with sunrise (optional, extra)

After breakfast, visit Devrent valley; walking in Pasabag. Lunch in Avanos, centre of terra cotta work of art since 3000 BC and a demonstration in a traditional pottery workshop. Afternoon, visit the Goreme Open Air Museum and Uchisar Rock-Castle to have a panoramic view of the valleys of Cappadocia. End of the tour, transfer to the airport for flight to Izmir via Istanbul. Arrival to Izmir and transfer to Kusadasi for overnight.

After breakfast drive to Ephesus. First visit Artemis Temple where is one of the seven wonders of the Ancient World. Continue to Ephesus, walk through history along marble streets lined with wonderful public buildings such as; The State Agora, the Temple of Domitian, Curetes Street, The Trajan Fountain, Hadrian Temple, Latrina, Celcus Library, Commercial Agora. The Grand theatre was built in 3rd century B.C and it was later expanded to 24.000 spectators by the Romans in the 1st century A.D.

Then, visit House of Virgin Mary which is located on the Aladag Mountains 5 miles from Ephesus. At the third Ecumenical Council of 431 in Ephesus, it was claimed that Mary came to Ephesus with St. John in 37 A.D. and lived there until her death in 48 A.D. After the discovery of the house, the Archbishop of Izmir declared it a place of pilgrimage in 1892. On July 26, 1967, Pope Paul VI visited this place and prayed here. Drive to Kusadasi for overnight.

Drive to Pamukkale. Visit the ancient city of Hierapolis with the Theatre, Apollo Temple and magnificent Necropolis, the graveyard . We wil visit The travertine terraces at Pamukkale are one of the most spectacular natural wonders we ever have seen from various mineral springs in a vast white cliff side. It looks like creations from snow or like balls from cotton, which gave the scenery the Turkish name Pamukkale (cotton castle).

After the tour, we drive to Denizli airport for our flight back to Istanbul at after 1 hour flight, arrival in Istanbul . met by our representative and transfer to the hotel for overnight.
