See rooms left much as they appeared when the lights were switched off in 1945, and discover the decisions, tensions, personalities and everyday realities behind Britain's wartime leadership. The visit also includes the Churchill Museum, exploring the life and legacy of one of the twentieth century's most famous — and complex — figures.

Meet your guide at the statue of Field Marshal Alan Brooke (Lord Alanbrooke) on Whitehall, outside the Ministry of Defence, close to the Cenotaph and Downing Street. Alanbrooke was Churchill's Chief of the Imperial General Staff for most of the Second World War.
