   Saxon Switzerland National Park

   The first stop is the stunning Saxon Switzerland National Park in Germany, famous for its dramatic sandstone formations, deep forested gorges, and breathtaking panoramic viewpoints. Here, you’ll explore the iconic Bastei Bridge area, offering unforgettable views over the Elbe River and the surrounding rock towers. From the start of the tour, free snacks and water will be available for you to enjoy throughout the entire day.

   We will stop in the middle of the Saxon Switzerland National park, where you can explore the most beautiful views over the Elbe canyon from the The Bastei. Easy walk across this famous sandstone bridge, which is a highlight of the national park, gets you to explore ruins of old Neurathen rock castle from 12th century.

   The Dresden Christmas Market — known locally as the Striezelmarkt — is the oldest in Germany and one of the most enchanting. Its charming wooden stalls offer everything from handcrafted ornaments and traditional toys to delicious festive treats. Be sure to try the famous Hefestriezel, a classic German Christmas cake sold at many stands. With sparkling decorations, unique souvenirs, and countless delicacies to sample, you’ll love wandering through this magical market. Enjoy your free time soaking up the festive atmosphere!

• Greetings from Bohemian Switzerland National Park, and Bohemia Adventures team. Thank you for your reservation. Our professional guide will meet you between 7:30 to 8:00 a.m. in front of your accommodation at your Prague address. The return time is usually between 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. but it may vary depending on the pace of the group, etc. Please, do not forget to take your passport (ID) with you as the trip to Germany is part of the tour. As you have booked a hiking option, we recommend wearing hiking boots or sports shoes suitable for uneven surfaces. An à la carte lunch and a snack pack with water are already included in your tour. If you have any dietary preferences such as vegetarian, or vegan meals, please let us know. You need no special equipment for the tour, only clothes comfortable for movement outdoors and a daypack may come in handy. We provide free walking poles, raincoats, etc for you to borrow. One day before the tour we will send you an exact pickup time confirmation along with the most up-to-date weather forecast for the hike.
