   Vatican Museums

   Here, in the Museums of the Popes, built-up and enriched over five centuries, you will admire with the rich buzzing of great history and sacred art. Upon entering into the Vatican Museums you will be immersed in the glory of art and culture put in the service of faith. The greatest artists of all time will welcome you: Raphael in the Stanze, Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel, Giotto, Leonardo, and Caravaggio in the Pinacoteca, van Gogh, Matisse, and Moore in the area dedicated to Contemporary Art. You will see, with the Laocoön Group and the Apollo Belvedere, the greatest masterpieces of Classical Antiquity. You will encounter centuries and millennia as you enter the Etruscan and Egyptian Museums, along with non-European civilizations in the Ethnological Museum.

• The passage between the Sistine Chapel and St.Peter's Basilica is closed on Wednesdays and subject to other unexpected closures. In that case we will instead spend the entirety of the the tour in the museums.

• The Vatican Museums provide free entry for visitors who are (according to the requirements stated by the Vatican City) at least 74% disabled with the appropriate certification and provides free entry to caretakers: please inform the local partner when booking if you fit into these requirements

• • Please plan to be at the local tour operator's office in via Sebastiano Veniero 21 to check-in with a staff member at least 15 minutes before the tour's start time. Latecomers will be considered as NO SHOW. The Vatican is very strict with the start times and refuse latecomers. • A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums.
