   Next, go to Palatine Hill to see where the elite emperors took residence. Admire the views of the Circus Maximus on one side and the Roman Forum on the other. See the ruins of the Temple of Julius Caesar, built in the same spot where his body was cremated. Look at the Arch of Titus, House of the Vestal Virgins, Senate House, Basilica of Maxentius and much more.

   Arch of Constantine

   The Arch of Constantine (Italian: Arco di Costantino)

   The Arch of Constantine (Italian: Arco di Costantino) is a triumphal arch in Rome dedicated to the emperor Constantine the Great. The arch was commissioned by the Roman Senate to commemorate Constantine's victory over Maxentius at the Battle of Milvian Bridge in AD 312. Situated between the Colosseum and the Palatine Hill, the arch spans the Via Triumphalis, the route taken by victorious military leaders when they entered the city in a triumphal procession. [a] Dedicated in 315, it is the largest Roman triumphal arch, with overall dimensions of[1] 21 m (69 ft) high, 25.9 m (85 ft) wide and 7.4 m (24 ft) deep. It has three bays, the central one being 11.5 m (38 ft) high and 6.5 m (21 ft) wide and the laterals 7.4 m (24 ft) by 3.4 m (11 ft) each. The arch is constructed of brick-faced concrete covered in marble.

   Roman Forum

   The Curia Julia (Latin: Curia Iulia, Italian: Curia Iulia) is the third named Curia, or senate-house, in the ancient city of Rome. It was built in 44 BC when Julius Caesar replaced Faustus Cornelius Sulla's reconstructed Curia Cornelia, which itself had replaced the Curia Hostilia. Caesar did so to redesign both spaces within the Comitium and the Roman Forum. The alterations within the Comitium reduced the prominence of the Senate and cleared the original space. The work, however, was interrupted by Caesar's assassination at the Curia of Pompey of the Theatre of Pompey, where the Senate had been meeting temporarily while the work was completed. The project was eventually finished by Caesar's successor, Augustus Caesar, in 29 BC.[1] The Curia Julia is one of many Roman structures that survive mostly intact. This is due to its conversion into the basilica of Sant'Adriano al Foro in the 7th century and several later restorations.

   Arch of Titus

   The Arch of Titus (Italian: Arco di Tito

   Latin: Arcus Titi) is a 1st-century AD honorific arch,[1] located on the Via Sacra, Rome, just to the south-east of the Roman Forum. It was constructed in c. 81 AD by the Emperor Domitian shortly after the death of his older brother Titus to commemorate Titus's official deification or consecratio and the victory of Titus together with their father, Vespasian, over the Jewish rebellion in Judaea.[2] The arch contains panels depicting the triumphal procession celebrated in 71 AD after the Roman victory culminating in the fall of Jerusalem,[2] and provides one of the few contemporary depictions of artifacts of Herod's Temple.[citation needed] It became a symbol of the Jewish diaspora, and the menorah depicted on the arch served as the model for the menorah used as the emblem of the state of Israel.[3]

To join the tour, you are required to be at the meeting point for check-in at least 20 minutes before your tour departure time. If you arrive late for the meeting time, it will not be possible to reschedule, unless you pay for the activity again. As per “no-show” rules, you will not be entitled to a refund. The actual departure time can differ up to 20/30 minutes from the one selected for organizational reasons. Visitors must pass through metal detectors at the security checkpoint. Please expect to wait 20-30 minutes to clear security. Forbidden items: glass bottles and glass containers, alcoholic beverages and aerosols, backpacks, camping, bulky bags, and luggage/trolley. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. The guide will hold your tickets. You will need to present this voucher to go ahead and attend your tour. If you have purchased a discounted option (children's rate), you will be asked to show a photo ID. For the safety of all guests, the tour operator reserves the right to refuse service to passengers who are intoxicated or show signs of intoxication.
