Visite guidée en petit groupe de la cathédrale de Florence

Points forts

Itinéraire

1. 1

The interior of Florence Cathedral, or Santa Maria del Fiore, is striking for its vast sense of space and elegant simplicity. The broad nave and soaring arches create an atmosphere of solemn grandeur, illuminated by soft light filtering through stained‑glass windows designed by master Renaissance artists. The marble floor features intricate geometric patterns that guide the eye toward the main altar.

Above, the interior of Brunelleschi’s great dome reveals Giorgio Vasari and Federico Zuccari’s monumental fresco of the Last Judgment, a dramatic explosion of color and movement that dominates the entire space. Though less ornate than many Gothic cathedrals, the interior’s harmonious proportions and artistic masterpieces make it deeply impressive and spiritually captivating.
