On one side is the Uffizi Gallery once the home of the Great Duke’s of Florence and on the opposite side of the piazza the imposing Palazzo Vecchio, former seat of the Florentine government.

Then it is into the Piazza Duomo to cast your eyes upon the wonderful Cathedral with its perfectly preserved and unique marble engravings. Towering above you is Brunelleschi’s Dome; symbol of Renaissance Florence and famous for its daring design and even more challenging realization. The Piazza Duomo is filled with interesting things to see but we will ensure you don’t miss Giotto’s bell tower, an example of 1300 architecture and the splendid Porta del Paradiso of the Baptistery.
