La gastronomie catalane est mondialement connue grâce à Ferran Adria, Carme Ruscadella et les frères Roca. Elle a évolué d'une simple cuisine de marché à des tapas créatives aux sensations gustatives et aux saveurs en constante évolution. Au cours de cette visite gastronomique à pied du quartier central mais authentique d'El Born, à Barcelone, nous retraçons « l'évolution de la cuisine catalane », depuis ses humbles (mais délicieux) débuts jusqu'à la cuisine moderne que les célèbres chefs de la région ont rendue célèbre. Nous commençons par une visite du magnifique marché alimentaire de Santa Caterina. Ensuite, nous visiterons un bar à pintxos de style basque traditionnel pour goûter à l’immense variété de la cuisine du nord de l’Espagne. Ensuite, nous nous dirigerons vers une taverne animée et nous aurons la chance de boire dans un porron espagnol. Enfin, quelle meilleure façon de terminer une visite gastronomique que la bodega, pour goûter à la cuisine classique que les Catalans apprécient depuis des générations ? Nous pourrons même préparer notre propre pan amb tomaquet (pain aux tomates).
