We believe that no site in the world was responsible for saving as many lives as Bletchley Park. Full of creative geniuses, professors, hard-working women, and even humble porters, carpenters, and drivers, everyone who worked at Bletchley Park had their part to play. Each person helped save the lives of Allied soldiers, sailors, airmen, and civilians, even if they couldn't see the 'big picture'. Famous for being the site of advances in cryptography and computing fostered by men like Alan Turing, we want you to hear the amazing, often forgotten story of the thousands of others, many of them women, who also served here and saved countless lives. Our tour offers door-to-door pick-up and return, with a driver passionate about the code-breaking efforts of the Second World War who will keep you entertained on the drive to and from London. Learn about figures such as Betty Webb, Cmdr. Bradshaw, and how Bletchley Park evolved from a small room in the Admiralty to the site we know today.
Step into the world of secret codebreakers at Bletchley Park—the heart of Britain’s (and the Allies') Second World War intelligence effort. Here, a remarkable team, including Alan Turing, Gordon Welchman, and women like Joan Clarke, and the beloved Betty Webb, cracked the Enigma code—an achievement said to have shortened the war by two years and saved millions of lives. Walk the same corridors as codebreakers, spies, and generals. Discover the women who kept the site running, and hear firsthand accounts from those who worked at the top-secret Government Code and Cypher School. You may even discover which member of the Royal Family has links to the wartime codebreaking efforts. Explore wartime innovations like the Turing-Welchman Bombe and Colossus machine, set within beautiful grounds that offer a peaceful setting for reflection. Why was this historic estate chosen for such a secret mission? Join us to uncover the full story.
