The showpiece of the gardens is of course the magnificent Luxembourg Palace, a formal royal residence now housing the French Senate. Nowadays, the 60-acre park is a popular hanging out spot for Parisians, known for extraordinary public amenities. You will enter the park through the entrance next to Musée du Luxembourg, the oldest contemporary art museum.
