The largest pilgrimage ocurrs on the 12 and 13th May and in October BATALHA - Classified by the UNESCO as world heritage. Built by King John I of Portugal to thank the Virgin Mary for the battle of Aljubarrota against the Spanish troups on 14th of August 1385 NAZARE - With a wonderful beach, its fisherman houses and the amazing cliff over the Atlantic Ocean. Praia do Norte, located in the village of Nazaré, is the scene of the largest surfing wave in the world. ÓBIDOS - A big historical Medieval heritage, amazing churches and castle walls surrounding the village.

This monastery, officially known as the Monastery of Saint Mary of the Victory (Mosteiro de Santa Maria da Vitória), is a stunning Gothic and Manueline-style architectural masterpiece located in the town of Batalha, Portugal. It was built to commemorate the Portuguese victory in the Battle of Aljubarrota (1385) against the Castilian forces. The monastery is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of Portugal's most important historical landmarks.

The town is surrounded by impressive stone walls dating back to the 12th century, and its centerpiece is the Castle of Óbidos, which now functions as a luxurious pousada (a historical hotel). Visitors can stroll through narrow cobblestone streets lined with whitewashed houses adorned with colorful flowers and painted details in blue and yellow, which are traditional Portuguese colors.
