Belfry of Bruges (Belfort) A medieval bell tower in the heart of the city, standing 83 meters tall. Climb the 366 steps to the top for panoramic views of the city. The tower also houses a carillon with 47 bells. Markt Square (Market Square) The central square of Brugge, surrounded by historic buildings. Home to the Belfry, numerous cafes, and vibrant markets. It's a great place to start exploring the city. Basilica of the Holy Blood (Basiliek van het Heilig-Bloed) A small, Romanesque and Gothic-style basilica located on Burg Square. It houses a relic of the Holy Blood, said to be collected by Joseph of Arimathea and brought to Brugge by the Count of Flanders. Church of Our Lady (Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk) A Gothic-style church with a towering spire. Houses Michelangelo's sculpture, "Madonna and Child," and the tombs of Charles the Bold and Mary of Burgundy. And many other medieval landmarks and monuments.
