A stroll up the Sacred Way conveys you to the Capitoline Hill and Il Vittoriano, one of current Italy's most heavenly monuments.Another walk conveys you to the Trevi Fountain, most broadly found in Fellini's La Dolce Vita.  Follow legend; toss a coin in the wellspring and make a desire that you will come back to Rome one day!There is then time for lunch (claim cost).    You will visit the Sistine Chapel, one of Italy’s most popular attractions, and still used today for the papal elections. The chapel is the location of Michelangelo's 'The Last Judgment' and other frescoes depicting Biblical stories, such as the creation of Adam.

   St. Peter's Basilica

   It is then time for a tour of St. Peter’s Basilica where you will explore the numerous side chapels with their hidden crypts. You will see Michelangelo’s Pietà and your guide will explain why this is the only work that he signed. You will gain an appreciation of the mastery that went into the creation of Bernini’s altarpiece and learn how Michelangelo triumphed over his contemporaries for the honour to paint St. Peter’s magnificent dome. There is still more to see though below ground level. You guide will lead you below ground to the papal crypt where, over the centuries, many of the Popes have been interred. This special place is a site of pilgrimage for many Catholics. The tour ending in St Peter's square. You can admire the balcony where the Pope blesses the pilgrims during the Sunday Angelus.
