This challenging hike requires good fitness and is ideal for those who appreciate nature, history, and an authentic Roman experience. The hike is mostly on the original Appian Way, with 90% dedicated to hiking and 10% to exploring points of interest. Meet 15 minutes before departure. There is a very small train station with just one platform, called S. Maria Delle Mole. We meet directly on this platform, which is right next to the main road. The exact meeting location is right under the blue sign facing the street, with white letters, saying "S. Maria delle Mole".
