   Süleymaniye Mosque

   We pause at Mimar Sinan's elegant şadırvan in the mosque's courtyard, then step to the terrace for one of Istanbul's most breathtaking panoramas — the Bosphorus and Golden Horn stretching before you, the city's water geography laid bare. Guests wishing to view the mosque interior may do so independently.

   Our journey ends here, at a 16th-century Ottoman hammam hidden in the city's oldest neighbourhoods, recently restored and adorned with original İznik tiles. We gather on the terrace for complimentary şerbet — a fitting close to a day spent following water through two thousand years of history. Guests wishing to extend their visit can also explore the hammam museum inside (free on Thursdays

   a separate admission fee applies on other days) or experience a traditional hammam ritual, paid separately and entirely optional. The rest of your day is yours, exactly where the city's layers run deepest.

• Is this tour suitable for first-time visitors? Designed for curious travelers who want more than the usual highlights. If you've seen the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, this is your next layer of Istanbul.
• How much walking is involved? Approximately 5-6 km (approximately 3.5 miles) on mostly flat terrain. The pace is relaxed — we stop often, no rushing.
• Are there any entrance fees not included? Admission to Nakkaş Cistern and the Bayezid II Turkish Hammam Culture Museum is free for all visitors. Zeyrek Çinili Hamam Museum has a separate entrance fee, except on Thursdays when admission is free. Basilica Cistern is viewed from the exterior only. The optional hammam bathing experience at the final stop is paid separately.
• What is the group size? Maximum 6 guests. Intentionally small — genuine conversation, flexible pacing, nothing like a standard group tour.
• Can I experience the hammam at the end? Yes. The tour concludes at Zeyrek Çinili Hamam, where you can stay on after the tour for an optional traditional hammam experience, paid separately. Towels and bathing essentials are provided on site. You can also simply enjoy the complimentary Ottoman şerbet on the terrace without using the hammam.
• What's included? A licensed expert guide specializing in Byzantine & Ottoman history, and complimentary Ottoman şerbet at Zeyrek Çinili Hamam.
• What should I wear? Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. If you plan to use the hammam at the end, everything is provided — no need to bring anything extra.
• Are the hammam facilities mixed gender? Our final stop follows the traditional Ottoman format — completely separate sections for men and women. Children under 6 may accompany their mother to the women's section; older children and teenagers join the section corresponding to their gender. Note: while some modern hammams in Istanbul offer mixed-gender facilities, this is a traditionally operated space where separate sections are standard.
• Not recommended for travelers with mobility difficulties — the route includes cobblestone streets and uneven surfaces
