Why is this ancient part of Paris called ‘le Quartier Latin’? The former centre of the city while it was called Lutèce and occupied by the Romans, nowadays the site is dominated by a megalomaniac building acting as a mausoleum. The visit does not include the entrance to the Pantheon as that is a separate tour in itself.
