Questa esperienza unisce i due siti archeologici di Pompei ed Ercolano, famosi per l’eruzione del Vesuvio avvenuta nel 79 d.C. Unisciti alla Guida all'ingresso delle rovine di Pompei chiamato Porta Marina Inferiore, da dove inizia il tour. Scopri il sito e le sue migliori attrazioni con l'assistenza di un Archeologo Esperto. Vedrai il Foro – la piazza principale – le case e gli edifici più importanti e i famosi calchi in gesso. Dopo il tour fai una breve pausa, poi raggiungi il sito di Ercolano con la linea metropolitana locale chiamata Circumvesuviana a pochi passi dall'ingresso di Pompei. Termina il tuo tour con il sito di Ercolano, più piccolo di Pompei ma meglio conservato: visita la spiaggia dove sono stati trovati più di 300 scheletri.

After the visit of Pompeii, continue to Herculaneum together with your archaeologist guide, following the transportation method included in your selected option:
From Naples, Sorrento, or Rome: travel with the guide by modern minibus directly to the Herculaneum archaeological site. From Pompeii: reach Herculaneum with your guide using the included Circumvesuviana train ticket (about 30 minutes + 10-minute walk). A quick lunch break is available before the transfer (own expense). Arrival in Herculaneum: Upon arrival, the guide leads the group directly to the Ticket Office of the Herculaneum ruins. You may access it as follows: By minibus (Naples, Sorrento, Rome options): direct drop-off near the entrance. By train (Pompeii option): a short 10-minute walk from Ercolano Scavi station.

M. Nonius Balbus was the city's major benefactor restoring and building many public buildings. On his death he was made patron and feted with many honours, detailed in the long inscription on his funeral altar.
