The Castelli Romani aren't castles in the sense of gigantic Medieval fortified dwellings but rather a group of villages located around the lake at the feet of the Alban Hills, in the territory corresponding to Old Latium, steeped in ancient history.

   Pompeii is a place where time has stood still since 79 AD, when the cataclysmic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius rained tons of ash and lava down on the Roman city. The monumental disaster perfectly preserved the city, giving us a unique look at Ancient Roman life.
